“We went to the Boot Inn last Tuesday (24th) to celebrate my wife’s birthday. On the outside it looks tired and in need of a bit of TLC but hey it’s been around since the 1500s. We entered the pub and were amazed by the amount of people in there (all the tables were full and at least two deep at the bar). The feeling we got was that this is a pub with a “Real Heart”. On reaching the bar we were greeted by a beaming young man who took our drinks order (hats of to the landlord as all the beers seemed to be local) then showed us to our table. The service was great, we were recommended the Wild Boar and also the Pan Fried Pheasant Risotto by the waiter and he was not wrong, the food was delicious and a picture to look at and without a long wait. There is not much more I can add apart from; very rarely you find a “local” which is also a fantastic eatery but in The Boot Inn we found one. Keep up the good work and we will see you again. “
